Hiba does not remember her father, but she feels the weight of his absence every day. Having lost him at just two years of age, Hiba has watched her mother struggle to provide for her and her two sisters on a modest income and their grandfather’s pension. Despite her mother’s determination, living on just £110 a month means they have had to focus on surviving, not thriving.
Alhamdulillah, in 2023 Hiba began attending the 911ßÉßɱ¬ÁÏ School of Excellence in Islamabad, which serves 213 orphans, alongside other students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Through her sponsorship, she receives everything she needs to learn, including a quality education, school transport, uniform, books, nutritious meals and regular health checks. ‘I feel more confident and happy now, because I can study regularly and work towards a better future,’ says Hiba. She achieved an outstanding 91% in her most recent examinations, putting her firmly on the path towards her dream of becoming a doctor.
